What does load management mean?

In a network of several charging points, the load management function ensures that the connected load of the main charging connection is not exceeded. That is it keeps overload devices from triggering, which would limit the availability of the charging points. The load management function constantly monitors the power requirement versus the available power. If the power requirement exceeds the available power, the load management function limits the charging capacity by directing less power to the individual charging points.
